Introduction

www.keyhomes-east.org.uk and all subsidiary web pages and sites are owned by Keyhomes-east (Khe). As a user, you will be able to access material on all public areas of the Site. Keyhomes-east does not make any charge for you to access the Site. However, you should be aware that your Internet Service Provider and/or telephone operator may charge you for time spent accessing the Site in the same way that you are charged for making telephone calls. You should contact your operator if you require details of these charges.

There is no specific time limit applying to your access and use of the Site under these Terms. However, Khe reserves the right to suspend or terminate access and use of the Site at any time. It may exercise this right with or without notice.

Changes to these Terms

Khe reserves the right, at its discretion, to make changes to any part of the Site and its related services. Due to its policy of updating and improving the Site, Khe may wish to change these Terms, and will do so without notice.

Information displayed on the site may change without prior notice. Khe cannot be held responsible if you act upon information, which has changed since viewed and since proved to be inaccurate. Though we endeavour to ensure the accuracy of information on the Web site, Khe would suggest you confirm details of any information before acting upon them.

Participation in the scheme

After clicking the ‘submit’ button on the form, we will hold a copy of your information on our database.

Disclosure

The information you submit will be held in confidence, unless a legal obligation or duty requires its disclosure. As stated, your personal data will be available as a matter of course to other Registered Social Landlords participating in the scheme.

Leaving the Scheme

You may opt out of this scheme by notifying us in writing at any time. We will comply with your request within 4 working days.

Application Terms

Keyhomes East will only process the given personal data of all applicants for the
purpose of processing your application for housing and will hold your information in
accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

We may also share information for same purposes with other organisations that handle
public funds. The information may be used for statistical surveys, which means we may
pass this information in confidence to the Department for Communities and Local
Government and agencies working on our and their behalf who may contact you.

All information you give us on this form (and information resulting from contact with your
landlord and/or employer) may be shared with the same only in relation to this application.
All information will be treated in the strictest confidence. We, other HomeBuy agents and
partner housing associations, reserve the right to take up any references related to the
applicants as we consider it necessary and may also search the files of any credit
reference agency which will keep a record of any such request.

We must protect the public funds we handle and so may use the information you have
provided on this form to prevent and detect fraud. Under the section 29 (3) of the Data
Protection 1998 the information may be disclosed for the purposes of crime prevention
and detection. Sensitive personal data such as racial or ethnic origin, offences (including
alleged offences) and physical and mental disabilities are required under the Equal
Opportunities Monitoring statute.

Once you have submitted your application to Keyhomes East, it will be assessed in accordance with our eligibility criteria. You will be notified in writing by Keyhomes East whether or not your application has been successful. DO NOT COMMIT TO ANY HOUSE PURCHASE OR RENTAL UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED ONTO KEYHOMES EAST'S APPROVAL LIST IN WRITING.

Please be aware that acceptance onto any scheme does not guarantee allocation of a property or that you will be considered for a property in the area you have requested. Acceptance by Keyhomes East does not guarantee housing/funding allocation. Each Housing Association's scheme has different eligibility criteria and being accepted onto Keyhomes East's list does not constitute acceptance onto individual Housing Associations' developments or imply that you will be considered for housing in the location that you have requested.


Declaration: It is a criminal offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false declaration or
withhold information reasonably required in connection with your application. I/We have
read the above and confirm that I/we have provided accurate and up-to-date information
relating to my/our application. I/We understand that if it is found that false information has
been given to obtain housing either knowingly or recklessly, appropriate legal action maybe
taken by the housing association or local authority and/or seek possession of any leasehold
tenancy granted. (Translation service available if required)

I understand that as a council, housing association or other public sector tenant, I will be
required to give up my rented home on the day of completion if I buy or rent a home
through any of the housing associations offering homes.

I authorise Keyhomes East to pass information to other HomeBuy agents, partner housing
associations, local authorities and other partnering organisations, credit references agencies
and to estate agents who may be able to assist in locating properties for applicants.

telephone, text, email or by post.
